Before You Ask
No. The message is prerecorded and streamed. Your job is to press play and then talk about it with the people in your room — the same way you'd talk about anything that mattered to you.
Three is a church home. Twelve is a church home. Start with whoever will come — your family, two neighbors, a friend from work. It grows or it doesn't, and either way you gathered.
It needs chairs and a screen. Nobody is inspecting your kitchen. The whole point is that this happens in a real home, not a staged one.
Jesus does not call the qualified. He qualifies the called. You're not being asked to be a pastor. You're being asked to open a door and stay in the room. We train you for the rest, and a pastor is reachable when something is over your head.
No. Training, materials, and the weekly message are provided. Some hosts put out coffee, snacks, and even a meal. That's between you and your grocery budget. NOTE: You'll soon find that some folks want to help serve specifically by providing food and beverages.
Kids are part of it. Every home handles it differently — some keep everyone together, some let the kids play in the next room. You decide what works in your house.
Then it starts with you. That's not a consolation prize — that's the actual invitation.
